Terms of Service

Last updated: February 14, 2026

These terms govern your use of ThoughtDrop ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

The service

ThoughtDrop is an AI-powered thought capture and organization tool. You capture thoughts via text or voice, and we classify and organize them using artificial intelligence.

Your account

You must sign in with a Google or Apple account. You are responsible for maintaining access to your authentication provider. One account per person — do not share credentials or create multiple accounts.

Your data

You own the content you put into ThoughtDrop. We do not claim ownership of your thoughts, notes, files, or any other data you capture. We store and process your data solely to provide and improve the service.

You can export all of your data at any time from Settings. If you delete your account, we delete your data from our systems within 30 days.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for anything illegal or to harm others.
  • Attempt to access other users' data or interfere with the service's infrastructure.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or programmatically extract data from the service outside of the provided export features.
  • Use the service to generate spam, phishing content, or malicious material.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

AI processing

ThoughtDrop uses third-party AI services to classify, summarize, and organize your content. AI outputs are provided as-is and may contain errors. You should review AI-generated classifications and not rely on them for critical decisions.

Google integration

Pro users may connect their Google account to access Calendar and Contacts features. When connected:

  • We access your Google Calendar to read events and create, update, or delete events on your behalf when you take explicit action in ThoughtDrop.
  • We access your Google Contacts in read-only mode to help classify captures related to people you know.

You can disconnect your Google account at any time from Settings. Our use of Google data is governed by our Privacy Policy and the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Paid plans

Some features require a paid subscription. Billing is handled through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

Service availability

We aim to keep ThoughtDrop available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, or experience outages. We are not liable for any data loss or downtime.

Limitation of liability

ThoughtDrop is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
